The WIT-750 Fiber Optic CATV Transmitter uses a DFB laser diode as light source, converting the RF CATV modulation (AM-VSB) into optical signals which are transmitted through optical fibers, then converted back to RF signals through the receivers. The RF signals are then distributed to the end users. The main applications are as follows :

Headend to headend program exchange
Transmission of video and sound through Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) networks
